Drone Design
"It has to look good to sell"
When I was approached by AERODROME the first thing they told me was, "we need you to design a drone that will seal the deal with this client, and it has to look great, that's the most important
Perfect I thought, even though I was just in my third year of Bezalel.
"It will have 3 blades, folding undercarriage and it has to fold to fit inside a box" continued the brief.
"ok cool, what you've got so far? Where’s the engineering?" I asked.
There wasn’t any. Out of the blue I found myself designing the entire project from scratch.

"we need you to design a drone that will seal the deal with this client, it has too look great, that's the most important thing".

After a few rounds of iterations with different concepts we had something that we both liked. I created a CAD model and some renderings hoping they will have a good pitch and that the client will like the drone.
And he did.
At that point I left them to work on the engineering, coming back to refine the design every once in a while. The drone was later bought by a large defensive company in Israel.
